Although she has been practicing the sport only since 2013, she has already won many prizes. A matter of talent, undoubtedly. But probably more of perseverance. Do not tell Larissa that she can not do something, because then she tries to prove the opposite. When her study threatened to strand information because a computer does not recognize mathematical symbols, she did not get down to it and developed a braille system herself. This made mathematics accessible to the blind. A formidable achievement, with which she won the audience award from the Research Battle of the Hogeschool van Amsterdam. Extra recognition was that the magazine Viva declared her the 'Stoerste Vrouw van Nederland' in 2014.
In her sport, Larissa and her then pilot Kim van Dijk became Dutch champion in both sprint races in 2013 and 2014. With Haliegh Dolman she defeated world champions in January 2015 at World Cup in Wales and won gold twice and during the Paralympics, from 2016 in Rio de Janeiro they managed silver.
And now....? On to gold in Tokyo 2021! ?? Grateful for all opportunities and wonderful moments so far!
